In this section, we will discuss how to use the daily digest.

Using the Daily Digest

Once you have selected a peril and date to track, Dexter Tracker displays nationwide storms tracks. To investigate storm tracks for a specific state, you may simply zoom using the map or utilize the Daily Digest feature to automatically direct you to your desired state.

The daily digest can be found along the left side of your screen, as shown below.

To drill down to a specific state, select the drop down arrow next to Select a State in the gray box under the Daily Digest heading.

The Daily Digest will only list states that experienced a weather event for the selected peril and date.

The Daily Digest ranks states based the number of cells impacted, listing them in descending order. Each cell, in the contiguous United States, is a 0.3 square mile hexagon.

Now, simply make your selection from the list and the Dexter Tracker map will zoom to the selected state.

Let's select Kansas as the state to investigate. As shown below, the Daily Digest lists our selection and the map zooms to Kansas.

Additional zooming may be necessary to fully investigate the storm, but utilizing the Daily Digest feature can assist finding storms important to you and your business much quicker.
