Create and Download an Underwriting Risk Report

Updated on

The Underwriting feature in Gauge allows users the ability to build their own custom peril risk reports

In this section, we'll discuss how users can create and download an Underwriting report that includes risk scores, peril risk attributes and cell capacity detail.

After searching a location, select the Download Underwriting PDF icon.

Upon selecting the Download Underwriting PDF icon, the Underwriting Report menu box will display.

The list of available perils will reflect the perils that your company is authorized to access.

If you are interested in learning about additional perils that you may not have access to, please contact your Athenium Analytics Account Manager.

If you have access to the Earthquake peril, the option to select this peril will only be available when searching locations within the following states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

Peril Selection

By default, all perils will be selected.  You can deselect the perils that you do not want to include on the report by left clicking the check mark next to the peril that you do not want to include.

To deselect all perils at once, select the Selection Options icon.  And choose the option Select None.  You can then click into the box next to the peril(s) you would like to include on the report.

If you only would like a report that reflects the Peril Risk Scores and no other details, you can now select DOWNLOAD PDF.

Report Details

By default, the options under the Report Details header will not be selected.

The available options allow you to include peril risk attributes and budget and cell capacity details to the report.

To include one or both of these options in your report, simply left click with your mouse into the check box to the left of the detail option.

The option to Include the TIV Breakdown will only be available to select if your company has established cell budgets.

Please contact your Athenium Analytics Account Manager to learn more about how to establish budgets in Gauge.

Generating the Underwriting Report

Once you have selected your peril and detail options, you do have the option to enter a Filename.  This filename will not appear on the report, rather be added to name of the file once you have downloaded the report.

If you do not enter a Filename, an Athenium Analytics default filename will automatically be assigned.

The Filename must only contain letters, numbers, or spaces.

The Prepared For field defaults to your name, however, you do have the option to remove your name from this field.   Once  you have removed your name, you can either leave blank or manually type the name of the individual or group the report is being prepared for.

If you choose to not include a Prepared For name on the report, the report will reflect N/A on the output.

To generate the report output, select the DOWNLOAD PDF options from the Underwriting report menu.

The Underwriting report menu box will disappear and a Loading message will display on the screen as your report is being built.

Once your report has been built and is ready to download, the following message will display on the screen:

Click on DOWNLOAD REPORT to download and save the report.

Once you have saved your report, you can close the File Available menu box by selecting CLOSE or clicking on the in the upper right hand corner.

Report Output

The Underwriting report is a formatted .PDF document. The first page of the report will reflect all of your selected perils and their corresponding risk scores

If you selected to include the TIV breakdown, your next page will provide the cell budget capacity detail for the location searched.

If you selected to include peril attributes, the remaining pages will include the peril attribute details for the perils you selected.
