Weather Risk

Searching

Updated on

The Underwriting feature in Gauge allows you to search for weather-based risk scores and risk information across the contiguous United States.

In this section, we'll discuss how you can use the Underwriting search function to navigate to a selected location.

If you are interested in available Gauge Risk Scores outside of the contiguous United States, please contact your Athenium Analytics Account Manager.

Searching

Once you have launched the Gauge application, the Underwriting feature is your default screen.

The Underwriting feature allows you to search for a location using any of the following:

  • Street Address
  • Zip Code
  • City
  • Latitudinal and Longitudinal Coordinate Pair

Enter your location search criteria in the search bar.  As you enter your search criteria, matched location results within the search engine will display.

When you enter a latitudinal and longitudinal coordinated pair, the search engine will not provide you with selection options.  Once you enter your lat/long hit the ENTER key on your keyboard.

You can either manually type your full search criteria information and hit the ENTER key on your keyboard OR select a location from matched location results the search engine provides you with. Once you perform one of those actions, the system will navigate to your selected location.

Clearing Search Results

To clear out location search criteria, click on the on the X to the right of the search bar.

The location search criteria within the search bar is removed.

You can now enter new location search criteria and the search engine will navigate you to that new location.
