Athenium Analytics' proprietary 10-day hurricane and tropical storm forecasts leverage machine learning for increased predictability and risk awareness. Users can view storm track and wind swath forecasts as well as wind probabilities. Interactive visualizations allow users to see exactly which project sites are at risk.
Accessing the Hurricane Forecasts Tool
From your company's Site Management homepage, select the Site Management dropdown menu.
Select Hurricane Forecast from the dropdown.
Viewing a Storm Forecast
All current hurricanes and tropical storms will be listed on the left of the screen. Select a storm for a detailed look at its forecast information.
TRACK FORECASTS is the first tab and shows the storm's 10-day track forecast. Use the slider bar to see different forecast hours over the next 10 days and zoom the map for a more detailed view.
SWATH FORECASTS is the second tab and displays projected maximum wind speeds. Hovering over any project site will display its site name and location. Zooming in allows for an accurate assessment of each project's potential wind exposure.
WIND PROBABILITIES is the final tab and displays the probabilities of tropical-storm-strength and hurricane-strength sustained wind speeds. Use the dropdown to switch between tropical storm and hurricane wind probabilities.
